Making It Stick: The Class

One of the things that has come up over and over again when talking to friends & clients about how they can get organized and productive is that they acknowledge something is a good idea but have no idea how to actually incorporate it into their day.

I get this question a lot and a few months ago, the brilliant Tessa Zeng said, “Michelle, you should totally make a guide about this.” I started working on that guide & I have been since! And, at the Day of Genius on Sunday, I did a presentation on that very topic.

The presentation went over so well at the Day of Genius, I thought I’d do a reprise of it for everyone else! Just in time to keep your New Year’s resolutions from failing, too. ;)

Ticket price: $15 ahead of time – I’ll be recording the class and making it available for purchase later, at a slightly higher price. In addition to attending the class (and having indefinite access to the recording), you’ll also get the Making It Stick workbook, and the transcript of the class afterwards.

You’ll learn:

  • Why most attempts to add new habits into your day fail (there’s several reasons!)
  • How you can add habits into your day without resorting to sheer strength of willpower to keep ‘em there
  • How to use habits you already have to add new habits (if you had any unanswered questions about this blog post, now’s your chance to ask ‘em!)
  • How to use habits to reach your goals
  • The 4 habit supporting factors that make adding habits much easier when you know how to use ‘em
  • How to keep up your habits even while you’re travelling or when your routine gets shaken up

After the class, you’ll get the recording of the class and the transcript of the class (probably a week or so after the class to account for processing time). You’ll already have received the 23 page workbook (at least 3-4 days before the class, so that you can look over it before the class and start to let the concepts sink in).

What will make this awesome?

Well, aside from the content…

I’m not planning on structuring it like a typical webinar – with the Powerpoint slides and so on. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time paying attention to those for more than 15 minutes, let alone an hour plus. The streaming video will be of me talking, occasionally drawing illustrations to go along with the words on  (that was a hit at the Day ;) ), and there will be a chat room for attendees so that you can talk amongst yourselves, find accountability buddies, and discuss the ideas being brought up in the presentation.

The date & time is going to be what works best for the actual attendees – I know not everyone lives in my time zone, and I want to make sure as many people can attend live as possible, to create the best experience for everyone. The class will be on either the 27th, 28th, or 29th, during a time that you get to choose. (I’ll also be asking in the survey if you’d like for me to set up a private group for attendees to converse and get support after the class!)

I’m working on a guide about this same material, but going more in-depth – I was intending to wrap it up & publish it this month, but it’s turning out to be longer than I thought (there’s a lot of things I want to cover in it, and I want to cover them well). I wanted to offer this version of the material at a time when it’s really relevant to many people (new year, new habits, and so on) without waiting to put out the guide. If you’re interested in the subject, not only should you sign up for the class (’cause it’ll be awesome!), but also because I’ll send you a discount for the written guide when I do finish it, so that you can go more in-depth later.

Why buy now instead of later?

  • You’ll get to ask me questions on the live call and get personalized answers & advice. Before, the presentation ran a little over an hour with audience questions; this time, I’m planning a full two hours for the class, so that no question goes left unanswered. (Y’all might have to give me a few moments for tea-sipping so that I don’t go hoarse, but other than that…)
  • Even if you can’t make the live event, it’s still better to buy now – I’m going to be selling the recording of the class, the transcript, and the workbook later, and the price will be higher. If you purchase your ticket in advance, though, you still get all of the same material, at a lower price. (The packaged version will probably be priced at $20-30 – so not exponentially higher, but still. Why pay more later if you can get the same thing for less now?)

Sound great? Then let’s get this party started:

Any questions? Drop me a line & I’ll get back to you ASAP.

If you'd like to get updates on new products and services (including special VIP discounts) or updates with new blog posts - or both, if you're feeling saucy - go ahead and input your details below. You'll also get access to the Cave of Wonders, a special treasure trove that I've created just for you. All in all, a pretty sweet deal!

(Of course, I know that spam is beyond obnoxious - that's why I don't send any. And if, for whatever reason, you decide you'd like to unsubscribe, it's only a click away.)
